There
are references to churches dedicated to St Mary and to All Saints as well as
to St Botolph at Shotesham. It is also reported that there were three
parish churches, dedicated to St Mary, St Botolph, and St Martin. The latter
two are in ruins.
St Botolphs is described as founded before 1550 and closed before 1900. Listed building 26 November 1958 Former parish church. Medieval. Fragmentary flint remains of former west tower. The village's full name is
Shotesham St Mary and St Botolph with St
Martin. At the present time, I have been unable to trace any more information or pictures on the Internet. In due course I hope to source information and to take my own pictures. |
